How many hours a day should you practice guitar? – How To Learn Guitar Notes

Should you play a lot, all day, at a very slow speed? How fast can you play?

I’ll give you a few easy numbers:

As a beginner, 10 to 20 hours.

As a pro, 20 to 60 hours.

As an advanced player, 60 to 120 hours.

What’s your average learning speed?

This comes from studying for exams, a course, a gig, or just sitting down and thinking a lot.

How many hours a day are you spending practice? You really can’t gauge by looking at how often you play, but in theory 1 to 10 hours a day should be enough.

Your ability will vary. I would say that if you’ve done a lot of lessons, you would likely have an easier time playing guitar if you play very fast. But if you have done a lot of teaching, I would say that is a different story. And if you’ve done enough music theory, a lot of guitar solos, and learned how to play over 30 different chords and scales, you do, in theory, have an easier time of it.

Are you doing more than just learning the guitar?

If you’re just learning the guitar, of course you should learn the other things, including rhythm guitar, drums, and bass.

How many hours a day do you spend playing with an instrument?

You should spend at least 15 to 20 hours of practicing with an instrument every day. I really believe it’s okay to do more, but 30 to 40 hours a week is enough.

How many hours per week do you practice with an instrument?

I play for three hours a day.

Are you learning a new piece all the time?

If you like to learn a new piece from the moment you first hear it until you are playing it again, then you can do that from the minute you start learning every day (up to a certain point you know how your heart is beating and how long your fingers can hold).

However, if you are doing a bunch of new studies, playing with a new band, or teaching some piece that you haven’t learned before, then you’re probably doing things you haven’t done before. A lot of things you probably haven’t played and a lot of things you probably haven’t taught before, and you will probably play everything at a faster speed than normal.

So if you are learning something new and playing like 10 hours a
