A woman in a pickup truck was thrown through the windshield of a parked vehicle, then got tangled in a tree while speeding into a residential neighborhood in New Brunswick, police said Tuesday.
New Brunswick police Capt. Jeffrey Wacker told NBC New Brunswick that the woman was driving north on Route 42, going about 40 mph, when she crashed through a front windshield of a car as it drove across the road. The woman then got out of the car, got under a parked truck, climbed into the trunk and tried to climb in the driver’s seat. She fell off the tree in the parking lot of a house before officers arrived, Wacker said.
She had not yet been arrested as of Tuesday morning, Wacker said, and there were no injuries.
The driver of the parked car was not injured.
