The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service said a group of hunters and fishermen were convicted Friday on criminal charges after killing a polar bear in Alaska.
Four people were sentenced Friday in federal court in Portland for the 2015 killing of a juvenile polar bear in eastern Alaska.
The four hunters were previously convicted for shooting a bison in 2009.
Sgt. Kyle Loy for Fish and Wildlife Service says he can’t discuss how many people may be held criminally liable and he declined to say whether the defendants could face jail time for the bear attack or bear killing. It may take years to get a fair trial, he said.
A judge convicted two of the defendants — Matthew Pritchard and Matthew Pritchard Jr. — on federal firearms charges in December for the bear attack. Two others will go to trial.
The three other defendants were convicted of criminal hunting charges in 2015 for hunting a bison in 2009. Those charges were dropped because of the statute of limitations.
For a company with just one of its own games to promote in 2016, Electronic Arts has certainly been busy. Last week we announced that Halo 5: Guardians would be the first title to take advantage of EA’s blockbuster FIFA franchise, which also has more than a few sports games in the pipeline this year. This week, we’re revealing new multiplayer footage for the game, which we believe to be the biggest ever seen in VR.
On August 7, we’ll debut the demo at the 2016 E3 Expo, kicking off EA’s annual conference. This is a preview of the game, as previously revealed by a teaser from Microsoft. In these videos, we see players of both genders taking on new challenges with a variety of new gadgets. The gameplay is fun, simple, and fun to watch in VR, so we hope you’ll check out the footage and share our excitement.
The new multiplayer footage you’ll see below is coming from Halo 5: Guardians Multiplayer Season Pass DLC, which will be included with the game when it arrives November 17 for VR.
Stay tuned for more information about Halo 5: Guardians’ multiplayer and the other titles coming to VR in the coming weeks.
Check out our other announcements for E3 2016 here in the E3 Expo page. Thanks, CVG.
