A watermark is an area in your photo that shows the time and date of the capture. It helps distinguish the original photo from photos in the cloud. For the best results, place the watermark directly over the water line of the cloud. (For more on creating and using watermarks, see “How Cloud Photos Are Captured.”)
Once you have created your watermark, you can use Photoshop or Illustrator to apply it to all your uploaded photos—including those you have already created.
How do I add a watermark to a photo? If you’re taking photos of your child or yourself, you may be able to add a watermark to the photo by following these steps: First, choose which photo you want to add a watermark to—a photo of yourself, a photo of an animal, or a photo of a person who is a dog. (You can also attach pictures of yourself and non-dog pets to your watermark photo.) Use the Selection tool (CTRL-SHIFT-U or CMD-SHIFT-Y) to select a photo from the photo album or photo library folder that contains the watermark photo of the chosen photo. Then select the Edit menu (E) or the Add menu (CTRL-U or CMD-S). Choose the Add > Watermark menu option. Choose the Add image option. Choose a watermark size from the Add Watermark Image Size drop-down menu, and then click OK. In Photoshop, place the watermark over the top of the water line in the photo that you’ve selected.
If you need to attach a watermark to a particular photo while it’s being uploaded to a web page, make sure the watermark is set to Hidden.
How do I add a watermark to an image that I have already uploaded? If you’ve uploaded a single image as part of a Creative Cloud collection, your watermarks may already be set. If not, you can add a watermark to an existing image by following these steps: First, choose the photo of the photo that you want to add a watermark to and move it to the Watermark Gallery > Watermark Gallery > Add Watermark.
Then select the Edit menu (E) or the Add menu (CTRL-U or CMD-S) and choose the Edit menu (E) or the Add menu (CTRL-U or CMD-S) again. This time, choose the Watermark option.
