Turning pictures into watermarks can take a long time. If you’re planning the project ahead and don’t want to go through the trouble of getting the graphics into place in a computer, you can use an application program to turn an image into a watermark. You can get watermarks from photos, from other people who’ve had them altered, or from a picture of a watermark.
Photo effects: These can be very creative and make your artwork look even better the next time you want to show your friends a watermark. Try looking through a few different files before you find one that looks good. You may even want to try using an adjustment tool (available here) to make the effects more attractive.
A tool that I’ve found works for watermarks is Acrobat Reader. You can download the free product from Adobe’s website and use it in order to edit a picture or video file. Acrobat Reader also supports saving documents directly to your computer – great when dealing with large files. Here’s why I love Acrobat Reader, despite my distaste for Adobe software:
Image size: Acrobat Reader takes a picture, converts it into a vector, and then saves it as an image that is very small and fast to load. I have often found my graphics in my photographs smaller when loading into Acrobat than the versions on my computer.
You can use it for images that contain watermarks from other people. This is particularly useful when I’m sending my watermarked photos to my employer, but I’m also having trouble giving away watermarks to my relatives on Facebook. This technique works best with images I make myself.
It’s easy to create watermarks in Acrobat Reader.
It’s the free version. It’s very simple to use and once you’ve got the program figured out, the workarounds go by so quickly that it’s easy to forget you did them. If you don’t plan on taking advantage of it frequently, save it online.
You need Acrobat Reader. Download the free version from Apple’s download page. Once you download it, install it to your computer, and open Acrobat Reader.
Acrobat Reader includes a special watermark generator. This utility lets you set up a basic effect, or use it to create one.
What watermarks should I put on my water?
Now that you’ve selected a few images to use, it’s time to decide how you
