The biggest, most important thing is that you put the photo into the digital camera software and edit it. So, you just upload it and it will be there. And there may be a small difference if you put something over something else, but it is totally normal. So, if you shoot something like an animal, and then you add some feathers on it, it will all start working for you. What’s going on is something else. Just by taking that animal-shaped photo and putting some other stuff over it, you are actually enhancing the photo. For example, if you have an object in your mind, and a picture of that object, it’s going to do some magical things. So it’s all going to be part of your image, but it’s not going to be the same thing every time you shoot it. And if you want to improve something, that’s where you make the changes, to make it more effective for you and more relevant to you.
So that’s kind of how I do it.
Another thing is that I love seeing these pictures and it’s great to see something more interesting. It’s even more incredible to see the detail in it. It’s really good to see a person who’s a photographer and just can focus in on something that may not have much happening in it. And in nature you are so limited because you only see so little in these kinds of things. But when you shoot them, you begin to see more and more. For me, I just like the idea that I am seeing something that has some sort of emotional value. It’s very cool for me because that’s really nice to see.
That’s one thing you should consider. Because I think a lot of other people just like looking at photographs and are just like, “Well, what could have been!” I get that. I also get that you are in the right here. One of the main things as photographers is to understand why things have happened. You might see the picture and then it’s just like “Oh, that’s neat. That’s interesting.” So you say well, I could have done that, but then you look closer and you say well, it is an interesting way to do things.
But there are a lot of people who come in here and shoot it that way. I always say, “If you are looking for something and it’s not there, then it’s probably not there.” It’s never about one thing and “What could have been!”
