Why graffiti is a crime? – On The Street Spray Paint Art Musical Artwork

BART officials will also offer a free introductory presentation that will feature a variety of expert presentation ideas on how to help deter graffiti and street art. The first speaker, a Professor of Urban Education at the University of California Berkeley, will talk about using technology to improve public safety. The second speaker will speak about street art.
The event comes one day after an explosion of graffiti and a police response to it that followed an investigation by BART police and the BART Public Information Unit, the agency’s new strategic-planning arm.
The first reports indicate that graffiti was committed in an abandoned bus shed as part of a city-wide project called “Graffiti Awareness Day.” BART officials are seeking comment from the public at this time.
Police have not said what caused the graffiti to be removed but say that the graffiti was a direct result of a police investigation into a series of thefts that occurred between 1 a.m. and 6 a.m. Wednesday at the East Bay Transportation Center.
There were reports on the news that graffiti was discovered outside the BART BART terminal at 3:24 a.m. Thursday at Eastlake BART Station . Investigators were canvassing the station after people reported hearing a noise as they waited to board the train to the North Bay.
Officials at BART have not said whether there are any other possible incidents that could be related to the investigation.
